National Restaurant Association survey states that high-end restaurants shun commercial supplied produce for locally grown due to lack of quality, nutritional  value, taste and safety. Diners are becoming increasingly educated about food and its sources. The market for tomatoes is pure supply and demand, tomatoes start degrading as soon as it is picked. It is a constant race, to get it from fields to the restaurants. It is alive, and it is dying. Premature harvesting, coupled this with a skyrocketing transportation costs, unforeseen calamities, and potential of number of entry points for disease and tomato quality upon delivery is taking place.

The Solution

NewGardens solution strategy will revolve around the need by applying careful planning and detailed process to create predictable quality in our exclusive Sicilian Cherry and Red Gold tomatoes to our various target chefs, in the process fully satisfying their needs. Our tomatoes grow in the state of the art greenhouse condition and method can produce fruit, which is very much more marketable in a variety of ways, including flavor, distinctive taste, shelf life, nutritional content, and larger fruit size and homogeneous in size.

Our tomatoes, for example, not only has a much stronger characteristic aroma, but is more sweet and has all of those after-tastes that by now have been lost as a result of the inadequate knowledge and management of mineral fertilizers, which has stressed quantity over quality. In our Aeroponic Plant Culture System, both characteristics [quantity and quality] are satisfied, in the right proportion. We like to say that our tomatoes live in a health spa 24 hours a day.
